Company History A Proud Family Legacy in Trucking

Gully Transportation, based in Quincy, IL, is a family-run business with deep roots in the trucking industry. Founded by William “Bill” Gully in 1947, the company started with a single truck when Bill was just 20 years old. Bill, alongside his wife Barbara, worked with their employees to create the company that Gully is today. His one-truck business has grown into a successful operation with over 230 employees and a fleet of approximately 260 trucks. After Bill and Barbara’s passing in 2019, their son Michael Gully took over the leadership role and continued the Gully legacy.
